I've also heard that Denmark produces approximately 23 million pigs per year for consumption. Considering that the population is 5,450,661 (July 2006 est.), that is alot of pork! And bacon... and ham...and sausages... and many variants on the above...
--PS points out that much of this pig-derived food is exported. Still, that's alot of pork.
