Hi and welcome to my blog!
I cannot take the credit for the name; a good friend from Somerville dreamed up that one, probably somewhat in honour of my affinity for puns (and also owing to her literary intellect).
Preparations for the trip are ongoing, interspersed with multiple outings with friends. Yesterday I bid farewell to Nimbus, my first car (Honda civic sedan EX, 4 door, silver). It went to a nice home in Somerville so I hope it will be in good hands. It's amazing how one feels the loss of independence without a car... but it seems ironic to have a sense of independence that is so dependent on something else.
Anyway, enough philosophizing (is that a word?), it was never my forte. And neither is writing, so these posts will likely be brief. I'm hoping to keep those close to me informed of my adventures overseas, so please enjoy the ride!
