On the second-to-last day, we had a sukiyaki dinner - where they cook the meat right at the table:

One was to dip the cooked beef into a bowl of raw egg. Yes, I tried it. And yes, I believe it was this meal that caused a nasty bout of food poisoning the next day. Unfortunately I could not enjoy my favourite restaurant in Tokyo, the Panic Cafe, since I was spending most of my time losing that day's portion of Pocky into a potted plant sitting outside the restaurant...Thankfully MD took excellent care of me, and I was fine by the time I had to board the plane the next day. Definitely a memorable experience!
