Last weekend was extremely relaxing. I took Friday off (well, made up for a Danish holiday I missed while traveling) and caught up on the usual laundry, cleaning and grocery necessities. Also spent 1 hr at the Foreigners office to get my renewed work permit sticker, only to find out that they wouldn't put it in my passport because it was expiring before the sticker was. So, I'll have to go back another time. Good thing to know that every country has its red tape, not just Canada and the USA!
Over the weekend there were a few things going on in the city. Near the lakes some artists were exhibiting their works. Here was my favourite:
There was also a "Carnival", which was a big festival of Carribean music and dance, as well as all kinds of ethnic foods and fun things for kids. Luckily there were tents, because the weather wasn't great.
I enjoyed 2 afternoons of sitting by the lakes reading my book (Suite Francaise, at the moment).
I also enjoyed a fun evening with DL cooking dinner and watching "Efter Bryllupet". It stars the villain from the recent James Bond Casino Royale (Le Chiffre -
Mads Mikkelsen) I didn't realize he is Danish. Funny to watch him in a film speaking Danish fluently!
