Helsingør

Sunday I went to Helsingør with AdK and JB. It was a beautiful day, sunny and about 5C. The train ride follows the coastline and from Helsingør you can see Sweden.


The Kronborg castle in this town was the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet.


In comparison to the elaborate castles in Vienna, the starkness of the castle was refreshing in a way. We did a very rushed tour of the "apartments", the chapel, and the underground tunnels.

Here is a typical side street of the town, which I'm sure is much livelier on any day other than Sunday!
