Friends

Friday night I went to Chabad for shabbat dinner, it was a gathering specifically themed toward young people. As I was sitting at the table I realized I was surrounded by almost all of my friends I have made in Copenhagen. It is amazing thinking that if I had never come here, I would have never met them, nor had such a wonderful year. If you ever stop to think about how something in your life, could be very small, can have such a profound impact on subsequent events, it is quite astounding. Many events in my life led to my coming here. Then JDate led me to meet my first friend in Copenhagen, which then led to my meeting most of my other friends here. If I wasn't feeling lonely one night in a hotel in Tampere, I may not have logged into JDate and started chatting with Jonathan, who for whatever reason was online at exactly the same time...

So, sitting with my friends, I was feeling nostalgic, and emotional about leaving Denmark in December. But, I have many exciting things awaiting me...and I'm sure I will now have visitors to North America!
